OUR GOALS

We aim to develop more physiological in vitro models to better understand the pathophysiology of human-specific neurological diseases. We combined multiple biotechnological technologies including stem cell-based models that allow us to study disease mechanisms of the central nervous system in the context of human neural cells and in the context of each patient’s own unique genetic constellation. The results obtained through these platforms have also an outstanding potential to design new and more efficient therapeutic strategies.
